ePluribus Media Documents Shadowy Past of
“Jeff Gannon” Figure in J.D. Guckert/Jeff Gannon:
These Are Your Lives
28 March 2005

Jeff Gannon’s U.S. media debut coincides with first known publication of rave review by male escort service client.

New York, NY, March 28, 2005 --- ePluribus Media, a volunteer organization of more than 750 citizen journalists at DailyKos.com, one of the nation’s most popular political web sites, has published “J.D. Guckert/Jeff Gannon: These Are Your Lives,” a comprehensive look into the shadowy past of the former White House reporter who resigned as Washington Bureau Chief of Talon News Service in February amid allegations he advertised gay escort services on the Internet.

“J.D. Guckert/Jeff Gannon: These Are Your Lives!” is publicly available at:

“His first documented appearance as conservative pit bull “Jeff Gannon” occurs on Nov. 12, 2002, the same date one of his male escort clients published a rave review of his services,” said ePluribus Media co-founder Susan Gardner, who writes as “SusanG” at DailyKos.com. ePluribus Media investigators uncovered a second “review” posted by a man who claimed to be a U.S. Army officer.

Both reviews can be seen at:

ePluribus Media research documents that Guckert maintained his secret life while developed his new public persona as conservative commentator and White House reporter.

Interviews with former employers show that in December, 2001, Guckert abruptly quit his job as office manager for an auto body repair shop in West Chester, Pa., to move to Washington, D.C. He never told his employers — his longtime personal friends — the nature of his new job.

On Nov. 12, 2002, “Jeff Gannon” made his first known media appearance as author of a commentary entitled, “The 2002 Election Mandate,” which still posted at ConservativeMonitor.com:

“Jeff Gannon’s rise from former auto body office manager to White House reporter was nothing short of meteoric,” Gardner said. “That this metamorphosis occurred in conjunction with his male escort business leads us to believe that the two may be connected. We are pursuing that investigation,” Gardner said.
